Students can

  • deal with a topic independently and in detail on the basis of specialist literature and the professional and methodological skills acquired during their studies
  • formulate a research topic
  • research relevant literature
  • propose a suitable method with reasons
  • present their research plan in writing for discussion
  • present their approach and interim results for discussion in academic discourse
  • conduct communication studies themselves according to scientific and ethical criteria
  • write down and present their topic and findings in a presentation and finally defend them in the discussion

Exposé:

The students prepare a written topic proposal and a processing plan for their final thesis.Bachelor preparation seminar: The students discuss their approach and their interim results in the group. They take note of feedback and respond to it with arguments. They give feedback on other work themselves.

Colloquium:

In the final colloquium, students demonstrate their ability to present and discuss their approach to writing the academic paper and its results orally.
