| learning outcome | In group research project with a defined task and objective, students are able to work in a group to develop and use new solutions to problems in the application area of biomedical engineering as well as methods for evaluating prototype implementations, installations or software. They are able to use their knowledge and expertise in group work to solve the task in a targeted manner based on their practical work. Students are able to analyze complex contexts, evaluate them and divide them into individual work packages. Furthermore, students are able to write results in an engineering-scientific manner, present them and discuss them. They are able to deal with the opinions of others, to express criticism and to accept criticism themselves, and to heed advice. |
| content | The group research project is a group work to be carried out by 3 to 4 students. The research topics are provided by the departments supporting the BME-R and typically are part of the ongoing research projects in these departments. In the process, the students have to independently plan project goals, formulate them in the form of a project proposal, implement them and critically examine, evaluate and document the work results achieved. |
