Lernergebnisse und erworbene Kompetenzen	Students have acquired a fundamental knowledge of the global and EU legal framework in which businesses and economics enterprises operate today. In addition, they are familiar with core questions that relate to fair trade, competition rules, intellectual property and ethical/sustainability standards. The students have a broad understanding of the functioning and logic of the law. Students have acquired a basic legal methodology and can understand how this interacts with economic principles and practices. Students are able to analyse and evaluate pressing current questions independently, ranging from monetary and competition policy to intellectual property and ethical debates related to data and sustainability. They can implement their knowledge autonomously to express their own thoughts and concerns in a manner that is sensitive to and informed by the facts and the legal framework.

The European Union and the internal market Institutions of the EU The fundamental freedoms and the internal market EU monetary policy EU Digital Single Market (6 weeks) Written essay - III. International and EU Competition law Fundamental rules and important cases Mini-moot court (4 weeks) IV. International intellectual property law: copyright, trademarks and patents, data (2 weeks) V.
