| Lernergebnisse und erworbene Kompetenzen | Upon successful completion of this course, graduates are able to model and analyze systems where the quantity of interest varies with respect to position and time, using partial differential equations. They also are able to design feedback controllers and observers for these systems, implement them numerically, and evaluate their performance. |
| Inhalt | This course covers control concepts for systems governed by linear partial differential equations. The course discusses system modeling using partial differential equations, numerical solutions, state-space representation, stability analysis using spectral theory and Lyapunov techniques, as well as the system properties of controllability and observability. Additionally, controller and observer design methods such as Backstepping and spectral approaches will be addressed. |
