The requirement for the lecture series Advanced Psychoacoustics is a basic understanding of scientific work. This includes the autonomous inquiry of relevant research literature (books, papers, etc.), the preparation of scientific reports, and active participation on the measurements, tests, and further project work. Furthermore, a basic knowledge in (electro-)acoustics, (audio-)signal processing, mathematics, and statistics are necessary to understand and solve the proposed topics.

a list of basic literature is available in the "self-study"-section of the Moodle-course

Lernergebnisse und erworbene Kompetenzen

After completion of the course, students can name current subject-specific research topics and can present these topics in a scientific way using oral presentations and writing a scientific paper. They are able to interpret the effects of a research project on future technology development.

After attending the project seminar, the students are able to predict trends in the area of the  research project. After completing the research project, they are able to independently formulate new research tasks. They can contribute with support to the development of knowledge in one or more areas of the discipline. They have the ability to act appropriately according to the situation in relationships with others and can work closely with the supervising professor and his staff.

After the project is completed, they will be able to take on responsibility in a team.
