| learning outcome | By successfully completing the module the students are able to understand a defined topic of law and economics, to contextualize it within the academic law and economics literature, to present it in a coherent way, and to provide a reflective analysis/discussion of the topic. Successful students are competent to identify and systematize different streams of academic opinions and literature. They are able to carve out and specify relevant aspects of a more general topic. Upon the successful completion of the module, students are competent to academically work on research questions by using state-of-the-art methods of the respective discipline and to derive an own independent expert opinion. They are further competent to present their analysis and their results in a written and in an oral way to an audience while following the requirements of scientific work both in form and content. Students are able to discuss their results within a group of peers. |
