Students prepare a presentation on a current research project and have to present it, work out the scientific question and present the approach and implementation. In a subsequent discussion with questions about the basics and the research content they have to assert themselves in a scientific discussion. Presentation and discussion will be evaluated.

Previous studies of at least 4 semester (bachelor/master). Basic knowledge in physics, chemistry, materials science and engineering, electrical engineering, electronics, mechanical engineering.

learning outcome

Students are able to discuss scientific problems on the basis of existing scientific knowledge and literature. They can argue in a scientific way and are able to report own ideas and thoughts in connection with a scientific question.
They can search for relevant literature and use it in their work. They can put it into a context and can give a scientific talk on a specific topic.
