Fundamentals of Electronics, Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering

learning outcome

After the lectures and exercises, the students know physical principles of semiconductors. They are able to understand and analyze these principles of  semiconductors and semiconductor devices.

content1- Physical principles of semiconductors (carrier densities, basic drift-diffusion-semiconductor equations, generation and recombination mechanisms)
2- Metal-semiconductor contact (types, current flow mechanisms, small-signal and switching behavior)
3-p-n Junctions (depletion region, current flow mechanisms, junction breakdown)

4- Devices (solar cells, bipolar transistor, MOS transisitor)
