| learning outcome | With the Master's thesis, students are able to work independently on a given comprehensive economic task within a set time frame.
The students were able to deepen and expand their previously acquired competences in a specific subject area. They are thus able to familiarise themselves thoroughly with a topic and organise their own thoughts on the problem. Using the theoretical and methodological skills they have acquired so far, they are able to work independently on the task using scientific methods and categorise it in a scientific context. They are able to assess a specific problem and document it in accordance with scientific standards.
Through the analyses of specialist literature relating to the task and their own scientific work, they are trained to apply their acquired knowledge and skills to new systems and the problem.
Students have acquired problem-solving skills and are able to evaluate and categorise their own work.
Students are able to present their research topic in a lecture to a general and/or specialised audience, to present the research results in a condensed form in a colloquium and to present and defend their findings in a discussion. They can pay attention to comments and appreciate criticism and are able to critically scrutinise their work.
They have learnt to present and substantiate their own findings and results clearly and comprehensibly and are therefore able to write scientifically sound texts on other topics. |
