Karsten Rau's dissertation thesis, written at the Technische Universität Ilmenau, deals with a current topic of great practical relevance in business.
More and more companies today are facing new competitive challenges in a turbulent and globalized business environment. The speed of adaptation to the constantly changing framework conditions, technological innovations and new market situations is a major challenge for companies in this context. The business agility of the entire company has been shown to be significantly influenced by IT agility.
In his work, the author addresses the question of how a company's IT agility can be measured in the area of IT personnel and actively managed on this basis, for example, in order to demonstrate the achievement of agility goals or the effectiveness of measures taken to increase IT agility. To this end, a system of key performance indicators was developed on an empirical basis and its applicability in practical contexts was demonstrated. It was demonstrated that the problem of lack of controllability can be solved in principle by the created artifact.
