AI Spring 2024: Presentations, practical examples and exchange on the topic of artificial intelligence

Many small and medium-sized companies are aware of the increasing importance of artificial intelligence (AI). They would like to implement the new technology in their own company, but often do not know how to get started and what is possible. In order to support companies in the use of AI, Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Ilmenau, together with the AI Hub Saxony-Thuringia and the ProKI-Ilmenau Center, is organizing the fourth edition of "KI-Frühling 2024" (AI spring)  in March. This is a free series of events in which companies and start-ups are supported by numerous AI experts to successfully enter the world of AI or implement further AI projects. Each event focuses on a specific topic; no prior knowledge is required.

The series of events is divided into the main topics "Prerequisites for AI", "Optimizing business processes with AI" and "Industry-specific applications (practical examples)". This means that both beginners and advanced users will find suitable events. At this year's AI Spring, young and established SMEs can learn to recognize the prerequisites for introducing artificial intelligence in their company, derive appropriate preparatory measures and discover which AI methods can be useful for their own specific use case.

This year's AI Spring will once again culminate in the closing event "Experience AI live" on March 22 at TU Ilmenau. Here, interested visitors can experience hands-on AI at numerous machines, systems, demonstrators and exhibition stands and attend exciting pitches by various AI players. The closing event of AI Spring 2024 also marks the start of the "AI Hub on Tour" roadshow organized by the Saxony-Thuringia AI Hub. Various institutes and research facilities in Saxony and Thuringia will be opening their doors free of charge until summer 2024 so that interested parties gain further insights into the possibilities of artificial intelligence during these open labs.
