"Design Thinking Basics" and "Business Model Workout"

Problem statement, empathy map canvas, creativity techniques and a table full of prototyping material. - One of the most colorful and intensive workshops took place last week: In "Design Thinking Basics", our colleague Laura Martin equipped 10 highly motivated participants with the basics of design thinking and let them experience the mindset, process and tools on two use cases.

The participants worked in interdisciplinary teams on two different tasks and got to know the design thinking process at first hand: From a relatively vague problem to a solution, they went through a human-centered approach to innovation.

The initially empty walls of the Ilmkubator Finnhütten were quickly filled with insights from user analyses and interviews, personas, problem statements and lots of ideas. Things then got really active: under time pressure, the participants built prototypes for their solution approaches and presented them in the course. Provided with valuable feedback, they then went into iteration. They were accompanied by Laura, who not only conveyed content, but also provided advice and support and illustrated each phase with examples and a look at the "real" implementation of the process.

In two days, they developed innovative, user-centered solutions for their use cases and grew into strong teams. Both participants and course leaders were delighted with the teamwork, the process and the great results.

The course also marks the start of our English language course in the summer semester:
It continues in June with the two-part workshop "Business Model Workout" with Matthias and Johanna (June 11 and 18, 9 am - 12 pm). Here you will learn how to turn your idea into a viable business model in no time at all.

Of course, our coaches also offer all consulting services in English. Come along or write to us at ilmkubator@tu-ilmenau.de.

We look forward to seeing you!
