Nach der Veranstaltung beherrschen die Studierenden ausgewählte grundlegende Begriffe/Konzepte, Resultate und Beweisideen der numerischen Mathematik. Sie sind in der Lage, die allgemeinen Resultate auf Spezialfälle anzuwenden.

Nach der Übung können die Studierenden die numerischen Verfahren auf konkrete (Anwendungs-) Beispiele, zum (Groß-) Teil mit Rechnerunterstützung, anwenden.

Numerische Grundkonzepte wie Kondition, Lineare Gleichungssysteme, Eigenwertprobleme, Interpolation, Numerische Integration, nichtlineare Gleichungssysteme, lineare und nichtlineare Ausgleichsrechnung.
