learning outcome

Students understand structure and functions of complex embedded systems. They understand requirements and design aspects with respect to real time, communication, and software architecture issues. Participants are able to take into account safety, reliability, timing, and performance requirements and know kow to design embedded systems with guarantees. Methods: students are able to apply methods of model-based systems and software design and hardware/software codesign to given design problems. They master different modeling and design methods and can decide which one fits a given problem setting. Practical skills: students have learned and trained to design and implement a small embedded system. Soft skills: Students can discuss design options and successfully work as a team to develop an embedded system
