Upon successful completion of the learning process of this course, students are able to:

• recognize principles and advanced standards for research in economics;
• present and explain principles and concepts of the modern, state-of-the-art ethics of research;
• develop and apply high-level literature research, literature analysis, and literature referencing;
• discuss the pros and cons of modern challenges in and to science;
• reflect upon the role of science in society.

By building up the competence to take a reflective perspective on the roles of academics/researcher in society, this module contributes to both the business-economics content of the program and to the society-related goals of the program (supporting the development of students to become responsible citizens).
