| Vorkenntnisse | Basic knowledge of electrodynamics as taught in the lecture "Electricity and Optics" as well as advanced mathematical skills as taught in the lecture Quantum Mechanics 1 and in the subject DGL and Fourier Transform are required. For the simulations, programming skills in accordance with the Theoretical Physics 1 module are required. |
| Lernergebnisse und erworbene Kompetenzen | Students learned to understand that the statistical approach to systems with many degrees of freedom leads to experimentally verifiable results. They are familiar with statistical physics as the microscopic basis of thermodynamics. They have a good understanding of the concept of ensemble and the formation of expected values.Through the simulation course, students are able to grasp and understand physical problems and prepare them in such a way that modeling enables a quantitative understanding of the facts.During the lectures, students have learned and understood important methods and are able to practice and use them in the exercises. They can help each other to deepen their understanding of the course content by asking questions. They have the technical skills to work on relevant problems in writing and can discuss the topics of the lecture orally. |
