Ilmenau master thesis selected for Springer's "Best Master Series"

The master's thesis of Stefan Rocktäschel, a graduate of the Mathematics and Business Mathematics program in Ilmenau, has been selected by Springer Verlag for publication in the "Best Masters" series.

In his thesis, Stefan Rocktäschel presents a novel algorithm for determining a solution cover of special set-valued optimization problems. It was written at Professor Gabriele Eichfelder's Group for Mathematical Methods in Operations Research, where he is now continuing his research work as a doctoral student within the framework of the project "Algorithmic approaches to set optimization" funded by the German Research Foundation DFG.

The Springer Best Masters Series

With "Best Masters" Springer honors the best master's theses written at renowned universities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The theses, which were awarded the highest grades, were recommended for publication by reviewers and deal with current topics from various fields of the natural sciences, psychology, technology and economics.
