Bachelor’s and master’s theses can be supervised by the staff of the department. Such theses exist in two variants: internal and external. Internal theses are those theses, whose topics are provided by the staff of the department. On the other hand, external theses are those theses, whose topics are provided by a third party, often a company or external research institute.
For internal theses, please contact the staff for a list of potential topics. When contacting the staff, please include your current curriculum vitæ and your most recent transcripts with all courses taken and your grades.
For external theses, please contact the chair directly with your curriculum vitæ, your most recent transcripts, and a brief description of the proposed topic. The brief description should not be more than two pages and contain some background information about the project as well as the proposed objectives for the thesis. The chair will supervise most such theses directly.
