Who can participate in the orientation services?

Participating degree programs in the academic year 2023/24:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Mechatronics
  • Automotive Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering and Information Technology

What are the offers?

Career orientation and answering the question "What does an engineer do?" through company visits, presentations by graduates of the degree programs or industry and business partners.

Interdisciplinary practical project: Students are divided into smaller teams and then work together on the respective projects (across all degree programs). The early integration of this practical component in the course of study makes the necessity of acquiring theoretical fundamentals more apparent. In addition, the practical project supports better anchoring of knowledge and the ability to have this knowledge ready for application.

Courses on key qualifications such as time management, project management and also self-management for the practical project and for the studies are integrated.

The offers are divided into two parts - The course "Aspects of Engineering" with 3 ECTS and the "Interdisciplinary Practical Project" with 5 ECTS. Both parts go over the first two semesters and run parallel to your study plan.

Procedure and application

The orientation offers extend over the first two semesters and there are only a limited number of places available!
