The project was supported by the Deutsche Telekom AG (Telekom Innovation Laboratories).
Funding period: 01.11.2015 - 31.03.2016
The goal of this project is to identify quantitative relations between monitored Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of an ICT service and ground-truth information about the perceived quality of that service. Two types of applications will be considered in this research: Video streaming services such as IPTV and Voice over IP (VoIP).
In the context of this project, KPIs are stemming from different sources (different in probe type, location and time of recording) and the ground-truth data contains QoE-estimates provided by different quality measurement probes, such as ITU-T P.1201 for IPTV or ITU-T P.862 for VoIP.
Based on the analysis, prediction models shall be developed, that enable to predict the perceived quality of a service based on the different KPIs.
