For years, the Automotive Engineering Group has offered a large number of research projects with public funding or on behalf of institutions or companies. This has resulted in a broad portfolio of expertise, which is regularly renewed and maintained at an international level through a very good level of scientific equipment. Special competencies have been developed in the fields of vehicle digitization (e.g. autonomous driving) and environmental protection (e.g. non-exhaust emissions).
The Automotive Engineering Group offers students a portfolio of study content that will enable you to later work on cutting-edge research and development topics. Your involvement in research work at the university is a matter of course. The training in the automotive engineering courses is particularly practice-oriented.
The Automotive Engineering Group is very well networked internationally. Students benefit from the corresponding contacts in the study content and via diverse exchange options.
Companies also benefit from the experience of our numerous scientific staff in the respective areas of competence as well as our extensive specialist equipment. A close connection to companies in the industry is a matter of course. In this context, the assumption of demanding research services for industry is a diversely applied option.
