Our group members Theo Käufer and Mohammad Sharifi Ghazijahani attended the 1st International Symposium on AI and Fluid Mechanics (AIFLUIDs 2025) last week in Chania, Greece.

Theo presented recent work on
🌡️ Inferring temperature from velocity data in turbulent thermal convection using Physics-Informed Machine Learning (PIML),
while Mohammad shared his research on
🧠 Temporal modeling of turbulence via Echo State Networks.

This symposium was a fantastic opportunity to explore cutting-edge trends at the intersection of AI and fluid mechanics, connect with leading researchers from around the world, and return with valuable insights that will energize our ongoing projects at Technische Thermodynamik - Fachgebiet der TU Ilmenau.
