In January, Prof. Ingrid Fritsch from U Arkansas was visiting Technische Thermodynamik - Fachgebiet der TU Ilmenau at Technische Universität Ilmenau in the frame of her Fulbright fellowship on “Improving Energy Efficiency: Multimodal Examination of Electrochemical Reactivity of Nanoparticle Catalysts”. It was an intensive month with a lot of exchange with the experts from the cleanrooms at ZMN @ TU Ilmenau to produce electrochemical devices, a lot of scientific discussions concerning electrochemistry and microfluidics, outreach to excite school kids about academics and a nice presentation with discussion in the group’s seminar. Not even the snow could stop the progress in the project and now Ingrid heads back to test the first produced devices. The project will continue with experiments in the labs of Prof. Kristina Tschuliks group at Ruhr-Universität Bochum and we all are excited about the results.
