Together with his colleagues from the Université Côte d’Azur, Patrice Bougette and Frédéric Marty, Oliver Budzinski (Economic Theory Group, TU Ilmenau) published new research in the peer-reviewed academic journal International Review of Law and Economics. “Ex-ante versus Ex-post in Competition Law Enforcement: Blurred Boundaries and Economic Rationale” (Vol. 82 (1), pp. 1-13) deals with the economic theory of competition law enforcement and provides economic rationales for designing competition rules and the corresponding enforcement institutions. Thus, it contributes to the ongoing discussions about the adequate institutional framework for the digital economy.
The paper continues a long-established and successful cooperation between Ilmenau and Côte d’Azur yielding already 6 previous journal publications, which are well cited in the contemporary literature:
