CaTEf - Calculation Tool for Eigenfrequencies (advanced)

The free software CaTEf is a graphical user interface developed with MATLAB App Designer for the analytical investigation of the natural frequencies of spatial compliant mechanisms.

Version 9 features the natural frequency calculation [1, 4] of serial spatial compliant mechanisms and the mechanisms optimization regarding a desired frequency [2]. Flexure hinge contours can be implemented and will be evaluated using a function based approach [3].

System requirements and installation:

  • Windows 64 bit
  • Executable file requires disk space of 2.38 GB
  • Application with MATLAB Runtime 3.2 MB
  • The target system does not require a licensed copy of MATLAB to run the application.

Individual requests:

Please contact V. Platl, M. Sc. for individual software requests.
