Graduate Research Seminar - “Business Model Development in Theory and Practice” SS 2024

New Graduate Research Seminar in cooperation with the Albrecht Scheer Institute in Saarbrücken

Dear Students,

in the summer term 2024, the Innovation Management group will offer a graduate research seminar on the topic of “Business Model Development in Theory and Practice” (course language is english). This class is an excellent opportunity to learn on how to develop your own business model(s) with the help of experts from the start-up and innovation ecosystem.

Students are made aware of the special features of business model development such as market analysis, product development, finance, human resources and more. The highlight: The course is integrated into the “Entrepreneurial Spirit Saar” program and is carried out in cooperation with experts at the Albrecht Scheer Institute in Saarbrücken. Further information about the program can be found here (in German, please have the website translated if necessary): https://www.aws-institut.de/unternehmengeist-saar/
The students travel to Saarbrücken twice for this purpose (travel and accommodation costs are covered) and are also supervised at the TU Ilmenau.

Registration:
Online registration for the Moodle course takes place from April 3rd (14:00 p.m.) to April 12th (10:00 a.m.). The link will be announced in March. Registration for the topic follows the “first come - first serve” principle and can be done by joining the course in Moodle.

Examinations:
Students take part in face-to-face and online appointments at the TU Ilmenau (kick-off to the seminar, lectures on how to write an essay) and the Albrecht Scheer Institute in Saarbrücken (kick-off, online lectures and demo day). They develop a business idea (group work) and write an individual (!) scientific essay (approx. 5,000 - 7,000 words).
