30 Years of iSTUFF – The Big Anniversary Weekend!

It all began at the end of 1996 as a practical training ground for media technology students at TU Ilmenau. What began back then as a vision has become a defining part of life for many students: ‘Student Television’ has been, and continues to be, the perfect combination of close friendships and a first stepping stone into the world of work for generations.
We’d like to celebrate this milestone with you, look back and get together! The big day is on 2 and 3 October 2026.
(Tip for media technology alumni: the anniversary can be perfectly combined with the media technology alumni reunion, which takes place just before, on 1–2 October!)

The program:

Friday 2 October (from 5.00 pm at the Festhalle Ilmenau)

• Celebrating together: Get together, reminisce and swap stories – both old and new.

• Delicious food & drinks: Look forward to a varied buffet! The bi-Club will be providing the drinks.

• Interesting talks: Speeches by the editorial team, the FeM Executive Committee and Prof. Dr Hans-Peter Schade, who will recount the story of how iSTUFF was founded.

Saturday, 3 October (Campus & ML2)

• Campus tour & media labs: For anyone returning to campus after a long time away, we’re offering a guided tour of the university grounds and a glimpse into the highlights of the media labs.

• Special edition of the TUNightShow: We’re producing an anniversary program together! If you’d like, you can also play an active part in the planning and the broadcast – just let us know when you book your ticket.
