    Bachelor study

    • Wintersemester: April 16 to September 15
    • Summer semester: No application for the summer semester.

    Master's degree

    • Winter semester: April 16 to September 15
    • Summer semester: Oktober 16 to March 15

    Studying at the TU Ilmenau is basically free of charge. However, before the beginning of each semester, the semester fee must be paid to ensure the continuance of your enrollment. This is also your re-registration, with which you indicate that you will continue your studies in the next semester. The semester fee of about € 300 (plus a one-time fee of € 20 for the student ID card upon enrollment) is made up of contributions for the Studierendenwerk, the student body and the Deutschlandsemesterticket.
