Module boards
The module tables are a freely accessible information service of the TU Ilmenau. In them you will find detailed information (prior knowledge, learning objectives, concrete contents, course responsible, credit points, literature, etc.) on the individual courses.
Moodle
Moodle is the e-learning platform of the TU Ilmenau. On this platform the lecturers create courses for the current semester. In these courses, learning materials, learning activities as well as semester- and course-specific information are made available to the students.
In the course of the restructuring and as an instrument of quality assurance, three subject committees were formed in March 2017, which are oriented towards the examination committees of the faculties.
German as a Foreign Language | English and Russian | Romance Languages
Further and detailed information on the individual subject committees, their tasks, chairpersons, members and contact details can be found on the university intranet.
Determining your own language level
If you are unsure which language course to enroll in, please take the following placement test: Placement test to determine your level of German as a foreign language.
Send the results of the placement test to the following e-mail address: Einstufung-DaF@tu-ilmenau.de
If you would like to learn another language, it is also useful to be able to determine your own language level, use the self-assessment grid for this. Once you have determined which language level you are at in the respective language, you can register for a suitable language course as a student of the TU Ilmenau.
Detailed information on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages can be found on the website: www.europaeischer-referenzrahmen.de.
Self-assessment grid
Open the PDF file behind each language and rank yourself by assessing yourself based on the skills described in the levels.
