Engineers without Borders is a non-profit and independent organization with a focus on development cooperation. Our goal is to improve the living conditions of suffering and disadvantaged people in the long term. Everyone should have access to basic infrastructure and thus be able to live a life in dignity. With technical knowledge we plan and realize infrastructure projects and do educational work in Germany and abroad.
In the regional group Ilmenau we work on different projects abroad. You can find an overview here. In addition to our project group, our members are also involved in public relations and fundraising or here on site in our education group or our repair meeting.
If you want to learn more about our work, please visit us at one of our regional group meetings. You can get the dial-in dates or the location of the meeting on request by sending an email to ilmenau@ingenieure-ohne-grenzen.org. We are always happy to welcome new faces from different fields of study.

SWING e.V. is the association for students of industrial engineering and business informatics. It is open to students of all disciplines and aims to combine the theory of the university with practical experience in business. Numerous visits to companies, workshops, the organisation of the company contact fair inova, and events in the network of the umbrella organisations VWI at national level and ESTIEM at European level are the main activities of the association.
inovailmenau is the largest project of SWING at the TU Ilmenau e.V.
