Research data management at TU Ilmenau

TU Ilmenau is a partner of the Thuringian Competence Network for Research Data Management, which provides information and facts about Research Data Management for all researchers in the free state on its websites.

Locally, we provide personal support and counseling for all members of TU Ilmenau as well as members of the universities of applied sciences in the fields of engineering and mathematics on all questions in the field of research data management. The University Library works closely with other central service institutions such as the Department for Research, the University IT Centre and the Legal Office. We will be happy to bring together the right partners for your needs.

We provide support and counsel on the following topics:

  • FDM-related support for funding/project applications
  • Creation of a data management plan
  • Locating and citing research data
  • Publication of research data
  • Licensing and persistent identification
  • Backup and archiving of research data
