On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, the COMCENTER Brühl of LEG Thüringen will host the 6th Thuringian AI Forum organized by the Thuringian Center for Learning Systems and Robotics (TZLR) and the Thuringian Cluster Management (ThCM) of LEG Thüringen.
The symposium offers companies, research institutions, universities, networks and authorities the opportunity to get to know Thuringia's comprehensive AI expertise in both science and business. Experience reports from the field are intended to help "demystify AI", sensitize Thuringian stakeholders to the use of AI technologies in companies or research work and promote networking within the Thuringian AI and robotics community.
The event will be opened by Prof. Dr. Horst-Michael Groß, project manager of the TZLR and chairman of the board of the TZLR e.V. Using the example of collaborative multi-variant assembly, the scientist will present results from the project "Engineering for Smart Manufacturing" (E4SM) which was recently completed at the TU Ilmenau.
The AI Forum will also present and discuss further scientific innovations in Thuringia, news on the EU AI Act for the use of AI applications as well as best practices and experience reports from industry on the topic of AI in the five innovation fields of Thuringia's regional innovation strategy: industrial production and systems, sustainable and intelligent mobility and logistics, healthy living and healthcare, sustainable energy and use of resources as well as information and communication technology, innovative and production-related services.
The program will be rounded off with a keynote speech on "Artificial intelligence and robotics - key technologies for the future" by Prof. Dr. Wolfram Burgardone of the world's leading experts in AI-based robotics from the Technical University of Nuremberg.
Visitors will also be able to experience and try out AI applications live using numerous demonstrators.
