9th Ilmenau Magnetics Day

The Ilmenau Magnetics Day has been one of the most important events for applied research and development in the field of electromagnetic systems for many years. In 2026, the symposium will enter its ninth round. We are delighted to welcome Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Ulm (Heilbronn University - Künzelsau Campus - Reinhold-Würth-Hochschule) to the Ilmenau Magnetics Day as co-organizer for the first time. The new partnership with Heilbronn University brings additional expertise from science and industry and thus enriches the range of content of the Ilmenau Magnet Day. In future, the Ilmenau Magnetics Day will alternate annually with the Electromagnetism Symposium in Künzelsau.

New in 2026: Workshop "Inside Solenoid"

The "Inside Solenoid" workshop will take place for the first time on the day before the symposium (Tuesday, 17.03.2026, Curiebau C108). The practice-oriented workshop offers a deep insight into solenoid design and is aimed at prospective developers, researchers and technically interested parties who would like to deepen their knowledge.
