What is the CO2 balance in the district? What are the key fields of action and what specific climate protection projects have already been implemented and are planned for the future? What is meant by "education for sustainable development" and how is it implemented in practice?

The 2030 Agenda (formerly Agenda 21) forms the international framework for implementing the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The activities in the Ilm district under the "Agenda umbrella" have been taking place since the mid-1990s. With the establishment of a climate protection management team in 2015, the activities of Agenda 2030 and climate protection in the district are planned and supported in their implementation by a staff position in the district office.

As climate protection manager and Agenda 2030 representative of the Ilm district, the speaker Felix Schmigalle would like to give an overview of the activities in the Ilm district and jointly highlight personal opportunities for action.
