Virtual Worlds at Technische Universität Ilmenau – Grand opening of the I3TC (Ilmenau Interactive Immersive Technologies Centre) CAVE
The I3TC is holding a ceremony to officially open another of its core laboratories, attended by representatives from academia, industry and politics. The CAVE in the I3TC’s Visualisation Lab offers a state-of-the-art research and development environment for interactive and immersive virtual reality applications. It enables realistic, walk-in virtual environments for research and teaching in areas such as telepresence, simulation, augmented reality within virtual reality, spatial audio and human-technology interaction.
The official opening of the CAVE will take place in the Grace Hopper Building at the Technische Universität Ilmenau. Following a keynote speech, there will be an opportunity for open discussion and a tour of both the Visualisation Lab and other I3TC laboratories.
