This winter semester, there will be a lecture series "Introduction to Data Science" for the first time. On seven dates, data science will be presented in its various facets by different lecturers at TU Ilmenau, giving you a good overview of this relatively young field of science. The individual dates and lectures are

17.10.24 J. Wolling: Data collection and recording

07.11.24 K.-U. Sattler / E. Tröbs: Data Processing

21.11.24 T. Hotz: Representation of Data

05.12.24 P. Mäder: Machine Learning

12.12.24 J. De Wiljes: Mathematical models and proofs

09.01.25 T. Hotz: Interpretation and evaluation

23.01.25 E. Domahidi: Ethical and legal aspects

The lecture series always takes place Thursdays at 15:00 in LdV-Hs 1. All members of the university are cordially invited to attend!

In the future, the lecture series will take place annually, as it is to be integrated into the new "Data Science (B.Sc.)" degree program. The development of the lecture series and the accompanying exercises for the students of this degree program will be supported by the THInKI project.
