Library Day

The University Library is open to everyone—but you probably already know that. Or do you? If not, this year’s Library Day on October 24 offers a great opportunity to finally visit Thuringia’s largest technical library. The Ilmenau University Library focuses on access to scholarly information and, in addition to print and digital media, offers courses on working with academic literature and artificial intelligence. On Library Day, anyone interested can learn about what the University Library has to offer, explore the library, or discover some interesting facts about AI usage in an escape game.

The Ilmenau University Library’s program for October 24 includes the following events:

- “Guided-by-books”: a self-guided tour of the University Library (10 a.m.–4 p.m.)
- “Guided-by-books” tour led by the creator of the “Guided-by-books” tour (11:00 a.m. & 3:00 p.m.)
- Escape game “Unlocking UB – AI Edition” (1:30 p.m., registration required via auskunft.ub@tu-ilmenau.de)

In addition, the usual services (registration, borrowing, information, and advice) will, of course, be available throughout our opening hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Stop by—we look forward to seeing you!
