New Year's Concert of the TU Ilmenau

The TU Ilmenau invites you to the traditional New Year's Concert on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 7:30 pm in the Audimax.

This year the Academic Orchestra of the TU Ilmenau will perform in Ilmenau, Bach Choir and Montegiardino Choir, under the musical direction of Pamela R. Mayorga, will perform a very special Mexican program with many contemporary compositions, including one of the conductor's own compositions.

Doors open at 19:00, admission is free of charge.

The New Year's Concert is traditionally accompanied by a review of the year by the University President, Prof. Kai-Uwe Sattler. He will look back on the past year and look ahead to the coming year.

The Academic Orchestra of the TU Ilmenau was founded in 1967 as a chamber orchestra of the former TH Ilmenau and has been playing as a symphonic ensemble since 2001. It consists of students and employees of the TU Ilmenau as well as amateur musicians from the region. For projects such as the New Year's Concert, the orchestra is supported by professional musicians.
