From February 10 to 11, the Group of EMPK will host the 6th conference of the German Society for Journalism and Communication Studies' Science Communication Section on the topic of "Climate (Change) Communication".
In a total of 21 scientific contributions, the topic of climate change communication will be analyzed in 9 blocks from different theoretical perspectives and with a variety of methodological approaches.
The keynote address will be given by Prof. Dr. Anita Engels, who dealt with the topic of climate change communication from a sociological perspective at a very early stage and has contributed to the fact that the topic is now firmly anchored on the social science research agenda.
On the second day, the initiators of three practical initiatives working to improve climate journalism will also present and discuss their projects.
