Public Viewing Fab Academy

For the first time, TU Ilmenau is part of the Fab Academy, a global community of makers and innovators. Together with our local instructor Ferdinand, you will have the opportunity to watch some of the final presentations live and ask your questions.

Under the leadership of the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), participants from over 60 FabLabs worldwide learn the basics of digital fabrication in their own projects under the motto "Learn how to make (almost) anything". 190+ Students from 50+ countries present their final projects in the form of a 1 min video and a short interview. They present the conception, construction, and operation of a project that incorporates 2D and 3D design, additive and subtractive fabrication processes, electronics design and production, embedded microcontroller design, interfacing, and programming, system integration and packaging.

Just drop by and experience exciting projects with us!
