TU Ilmenau offers all prospective students an information day for orientation on April 25th, 2026, from 10 am to 3 pm. On this day, you can find out about the university, the study programs on offer and you can ask any questions you may have about studying and living in Ilmenau. We want to give you the opportunity to decide well in advance of the start of the winter semester 2026/27 regarding your choice to study at TU Ilmenau. Application deadlines are as follows:

By car:
You can reach the Ilmenau University of Technology from the north and south via the highway 71, exit "Ilmenau-Ost".
By train:
Coming from Erfurt, you have a direct train connection with the Südthüringen Bahn (STB) to Ilmenau. You can also take the train from Saalfeld to Arnstadt and change there. The train runs to and from Ilmenau every hour.
