UNIKAT OpenLab

UNIKAT is the student workshop at TU Ilmenau. Here, you have the opportunity to bring your projects to life—whether it’s something for school, your thesis, or just a personal project or a gift. Just stop by and get started. We’ll be there for you in our OpenLabs and are happy to help. Our workshop is fully equipped with pretty much everything you need. After a brief introduction from our mentors, you can then work on your projects independently. 

Using all our equipment is FREE! You only need to bring (or pay for) your own materials. 

Just moved in and need a drill or other tools? You can also borrow equipment from us for free (university affiliation required!).
