Kyrgyz State Technical University I. Razzakov

The Kyrgyz State Technical University (KSTU) was founded in 1954 as a polytechnic institute. The Kyrgyz politician Iskhak Razzakovich Razzakov played an important role in shaping the country, which is why the institution was renamed after him in 1995.

Bishkek is the capital of Kyrgyzstan and at the same time the political, economic and cultural center of the country. The city is not only the most highly developed region, but also the one with the highest gross domestic product in Kyrgyzstan. As the cultural center of the country, Bishkek is home to numerous cultural institutions. Among the best known are the Bishkek Opera and Ballet Theater and the Kyrgyz and Russian Drama Theaters in Bishkek.

Course of study

You will complete the first two semesters of the regular Master's program at your home university and improve your English language skills to level B2 at the same time. In the third semester, you will transfer to the partner university and spend two semesters there.

The written Master's thesis is written in the last semester of the Master's program. The Master's thesis is written in Germany at the TU Ilmenau and/or in Kyrgyzstan at the KSTU Razzakov. The Master's thesis is supervised by a university lecturer from each of the partner universities involved. If the Master's thesis is written at the partner university, the regulations/examination regulations for writing the Master's thesis at the partner university apply. The written version must be in German or English and contain a short summary in German or - if German is chosen - in English or Russian.
