The microtechnology-oriented education at SUPMICROTECH-ENSMM is unique in Europe. It combines engineering services ranging from micromechanical systems to acoustic-optical-electronic microsystems in order to design and manufacture the products of the future. The engineers trained here are particularly in demand in the transport sector, especially in aviation and the automotive industry, but also in luxury goods and precision engineering, instrumentation and healthcare.
Around 840 students study in 8 different programs at ENSMM. The campus is located in Besançon. The city, with around 120,000 inhabitants, is considered the "greenest" city in France and offers a high quality of life thanks to its rich historical and cultural offerings.
The integrated structure of the degree program, with mutual recognition of study and examination achievements, and the integrated language training enable you to acquire not only specialist and language skills, but also intercultural skills.
The part of the degree program jointly run by the partners begins for you in the 2nd semester at ENSMM. You will then study in France until the end of your 3rd semester. The study regulations for the Master of Mechatronics at TU Ilmenau regulate the subjects to be taken at ENSMM.
You will write your Master's thesis in the 5th semester either at TU Ilmenau or at ENSMM. After successfully completing all the required coursework, you will be awarded the Master of Science and Diplôme d'Ingénieur degrees
As a student at TU Ilmenau, admission to the integrated binational degree program requires a successful four-semester Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics at TU Ilmenau with equivalent study and examination achievements and the corresponding number of ECTS credits as well as a good knowledge of French. It is recommended that you improve your French language skills during your studies.
