AVTThe 16th ACM Multimedia Systems Conference (MMSys'25) took place from March 31 to April 4, 2025 in Stellenbosch, South Africa. During the conference, Abhinav from our research group presented the paper "AMIS: An audiovisual dataset for multimodal XR research" in the Open Source Software and Datasets (ODS) section. The AMIS dataset was developed to support research in immersive media communication and social XR environments. It includes synchronized audiovisual recordings in four modalities: talking-head videos, full-body videos, personalized animated avatars and volumetric avatars. These recordings include both monologues and dyadic conversations and enable the simulation of scenarios such as traditional video conferencing or XR meetings with 3D avatars in controlled environments.
