Our colleagues Sebastian Sachs and Jörg König recently attended the Acoustofluidics 2025, which took place in beautiful Dresden. They shared our latest findings on tailoring separation devices based on a tasSAW and optical characterization thereof by "seeing double" through lithium niobate. Jörg's presentation was particularly successful, earning the award for the best talk - a great honor. Sebastian and Jörg thoroughly enjoyed listening to all the very insightful talks and poster presentations given, got impressed a lot from the Acoustofluidics Olympics and are happy about "The Scientific Toolbox: Essential Skills for Research and Beyond" shared by Prof. Michael S. Gerlt. They thank the organizers and hosts Hagen Schmidt and Andreas Winkler from IFF@IFW Dresden for the very well-organized conference and social program with a banquet in the unique Pulverturm an der Frauenkirche. Both are looking forward meeting their peers and friends of the Acoustofluidics Society in Nanjing China next year.
