TU Ilmenau/Carsten GatermannIn the last week before the application deadline for the upcoming winter semester 2025/26, Technische Universität Ilmenau will be introducing itself to prospective students at its branch in Erfurt. From September 8 to 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day, anyone interested in pursuing a degree in engineering or natural sciences will be able to obtain targeted advice at short notice from TU Ilmenau staff at Willy-Brandt-Platz 1 opposite the main entrance to Erfurt's main railway station. Enrolment without admission restrictions is still possible for all Bachelor's degree courses until September 15.
"TECHNISCHE UNIVERSITÄT ILMENAU" is emblazoned in large blue letters above the entrance. The TU Ilmenau usually uses its branch officedirectly opposite the main entrance to Erfurt's main railway station for conferences and work meetings with guests traveling from far and wide. From September 8 to 12, the lettering welcomes all high school graduates and prospective students from the Thuringian state capital to the Application Countdown Week. Thus, the University would like to meet the needs of all young people from Erfurt and the surrounding area who are interested in pursuing a degree in engineering or natural sciences, but are still unsure or have unanswered questions, with a wide range of advice and guidance services.
The whole week before the application deadline on September 15, personal advice on all degree courses is available at the TU Ilmenau branch office from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., even without an appointment. The university staff offer guidance on choosing a course and information on admission, deadlines to be met and also on living in Ilmenau. Anyone wishing to apply will receive support here with the TU Ilmenau online application portal and with digitizing the necessary documents. And those who have already applied can have their application documents checked for completeness.
From December, advice and guidance on studying will be available at the TU Ilmenau branch office on the first Tuesday of every month from 3 to 6 pm. Thus, the TU Ilmenau wants to make it easier for prospective students from Erfurt to find out about pursuing a degree in engineering or natural sciences in their home country.
