We are delighted for Philipp Neugum, industrial mechanic at TU Ilmenau, who has been awarded the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) education fox as one of the best trainees of his year out of a total of 899 candidates in the completed training year 2023/2024 in the district of Southern Thuringia. The Bildungsfuchs is awarded to those candidates who have achieved the best overall result in their training occupation with at least 87 out of 100 points.

"Although Mr. Neugum shortened his training, he achieved an absolutely outstanding result of 97 percent and also impressed us with his commitment as Chairman of the Youth and Apprentice Representation of the TU Ilmenau," said Anja Röper, Head of Human Resources Management and Training at the TU Ilmenau, on the occasion of the presentation of the coveted glass trophy: "We are all the more pleased that we were able to take on Mr. Neugum permanently as an employee in the workshop in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering following his training, and congratulate him warmly."

Meanwhile, the new training year at TU Ilmenau has already begun in August 2024 for a total of four young people who are training as IT specialists for system integration, media and information services specialists, specializing in library services, and office management specialists.
