CCS @ LMU

This week the CCS team had the opportunity to spend time in Munich with the LMU CCS research group. It was a really rewarding visit - with in-depth discussions, productive exchanges and real intellectual connections. A central theme of our conversations was the issue of bias in computational research: what do we mean by it, how does it show up in our methods and data, and how can we better account for it in our work? The dialog was both challenging and inspiring and highlighted the value of bringing different perspectives together. We left Munich with new ideas, strengthened relationships and a clear sense of the possibilities for future collaboration. We look forward to continuing this important work with our colleagues at LMU.
