ThEFI Technology Update on the power supply of high-performance consumers

On 06 March 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming ELATEC POWER DISTRIBUTION GmbH to the third edition of our ThEFI Technology Update at the branch office of the TU Ilmenau in Erfurt.

After a brief introduction by Institute Director Prof. Dirk Westermann, Dr. Helge Schäfer spoke on the topic of "Challenges and trends in the energy supply of high-performance consumers". The presentation focused on the secure power supply of data centers, chemical parks and steelworks. The very illustrative examples provided a perfect basis for the subsequent discussion between the participants.

The fourth edition of the ThEFI Technology Update will take place in fall 2025.
